Personally, I switched to Cheat Happens, not because I don't trust WeMod or dislike it, but because they have a pay once lifetime option, and bigger catalog for older games. Either way it stopped being included with the installer years ago. It would still trip an AV software though just because the mining software is there, regardless of the fact that it was off by default and opt in. I can't find anything about anyone having a experience of it being turned on without them enabling it themselves, for the short period of time they even offered this option. It was off by default though and the abandon the idea in about a month. They offered the option to allow bitcoin mining on your machine in exchange for a pro sub status a few years ago. But they seem to be doing better than ever and I can't find anything about this on google.Įdit: I see. I'd imagine if it was proven their app ran a bitcoin miner ever at any point it would have killed their reputation. Wait is their a source on this? I haven't used wemod in a couple of months, but it was always great for me when I used it.
